Commencement of Proceedings

The inquest will commence on 13th Jan 2026 at the Coroner’s Court, Store Street, Dublin 1 and is expected to continue for 3 weeks, sitting 4 days each week Tuesday – Friday from 10 am to 4 pm. Remote access will be provided through a live link which will be available in due course. You will be admitted from the waiting room on zoom when court proceedings commence.

There is limited space in the Store Street Courtroom and members of the public and media are encouraged to attend remotely.

Access to the courtroom will be permitted thirty minutes in advance of court being in session. Anyone arriving prior to this will not be permitted access to the building. We appreciate your cooperation with our staff in relation to the above policy and other requests as they might arise.

Media Information

Equipment restrictions

  • Mobile phones – may be used within the court building but must be switched to silent in court.
  • Tape recorders – must not be brought into the court building
  • Cameras – must not be brought into the court building

Conduct of attendees via remote access

Remote access attendees are reminded that this hearing is a solemn court proceeding and therefore they must conduct themselves as if they were in a physical Courtroom. Attendees must not interrupt the proceedings in any way.

Under no circumstances should an attendee take, or attempt to take, a ‘screenshot’, ‘screengrab’, photograph or any other method of capturing/preserving an image that appears over the video link nor make, or attempt to make, an audio video or other form of recording of these proceedings.

The following court conventions apply:

  • No photography
  • No audio recording
  • No video recording
  • No media interviews
  • No media access to the adjacent family room

It is imperative that the media clear the Courtroom and grounds promptly at the conclusion of each days proceedings.
